Our approach
We designed the GEO Audit to be a one-time purchase that doesn't require accounts, logins, or persistent user profiles. We collect the minimum information needed to deliver an audit, process payment, and run the service. We don't sell your data. We don't use it to train AI models. We don't profile you across the web.
What we collect
Audit inputs you provide: when you submit an audit, we receive the brand name, website, search terms, competitor names, and market context you enter. These are used to run the audit and are included in the resulting PDF.
Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see, store, or have access to your credit card number, CVV, or full bank details. Stripe shares with us only the information needed to issue your receipt and tie a payment to a specific audit (email address, payment confirmation, billing country for tax).
Email address: required for receipt delivery and to send you the PDF link. Optionally, if you check the marketing opt-in box at checkout, your email is added to our marketing list.
Aggregate usage data: we use a cookieless analytics tool that records anonymous page views, referring sites, country, and device type. No cookies are set for this. No individual users are profiled.
Technical and error data: we log application errors and basic request information to fix bugs. Personal information is scrubbed from these logs where present.
Rate-limiting cookies: a short-lived session cookie tracks how many free discoveries you've run in the current session. This is strictly necessary for the service to function and is not used for tracking.
What we don't collect
- We don't set tracking cookies for advertising or cross-site profiling
- We don't record sessions, capture keystrokes, or run heatmap tracking
- We don't persistently link your behavior to your identity across visits
- We don't sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers
Why we collect it
- Service delivery: to run your audit, generate your PDF, and deliver it to you
- Payment processing and tax compliance: to charge for the service and remit applicable taxes
- Service operation: to fix bugs, prevent abuse, and improve the product
- Marketing (opt-in only): if you check the box, to send you occasional updates about ye5.ai products
Third-party processors
We share information with the following processors only as needed to deliver the service:
- Stripe: payment processing and receipts
- Vercel: website hosting, deployment, and built-in analytics
- Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google: AI models that generate audit analysis. Your audit inputs are sent to these providers per audit.
- Firecrawl and Bright Data: web content fetching for brand and competitor analysis
- Plausible Analytics: cookieless aggregate analytics
- Sentry: error monitoring with PII scrubbing
- Microsoft 365: email infrastructure for hello@ye5.ai
Each processor has its own privacy practices. Stripe's, Vercel's, and the AI providers' policies are publicly available on their respective sites.
How long we keep your data
- PDF reports: stored on Vercel Blob storage and accessible via your tokenized link. We retain them so you can re-download. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@ye5.ai.
- Audit inputs: retained alongside the PDF for the same period. Deleted on request.
- Email address: retained for receipts and, if opted in, for marketing until you unsubscribe.
- Error logs: retained for 30 days, then deleted automatically.
- Aggregate analytics: retained indefinitely in anonymous form (no individual identification possible).
Your rights
You can:
- Request a copy of what we have about you
- Request deletion of your audit inputs, PDFs, or email from our records
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails (every email includes an unsubscribe link)
- Object to specific processing

If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom, or California, you have additional rights under your local laws (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA). The rights above cover the substance of those laws; you can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have mishandled your information.
International data transfers
ye5.ai is operated from the United States. Some of our processors operate globally. If you are accessing the service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.
Children
The service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has used the service, email hello@ye5.ai and we will delete the information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Effective date above will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page.
